Tabor has been well-preserved, and as you walk around, you will feel transported back in time. The streets are lined with medieval houses that have been turned into shops, restaurants, and cafes.
I highly recommend taking a walking tour to learn about the history of Tabor as you walk around. I took a private walking tour with a local guide, and it was one of the highlights of my visit. I learned so much about Tabor and visited places that I would have never found on my own.

6. Visit the Hylacka Observation Tower
Wondering what to do in Tabor? Then head to the outskirts of town to visit the Hylacka Observation Tower. This beautiful lookout tower was built in the early 20th century. It is located on a hilltop whose height is 525 meters. The height of the tower is 35.6 meters, and from the top, you can get a stunning 360-degree view of Tabor and the surrounding area.
To get to the top of the tower, you need to walk up 136 steps. This is a doable climb, and the views from the top are definitely worth it. I climbed up the tower in the late afternoon, and I was able to see the sunset from up there. It was a really beautiful experience.

7. Visit the Tabor Zoo
When it comes to things to do in Tabor with kids, a visit to the Tabor Zoo is a must. This small but fun zoo focuses on the protection of endangered species of animals. There are over 60 different species of animals that you can see here, and a third of them are endangered.
The Tabor Zoo is located on the outskirts of Tabor, and it’s a great place to spend a couple of hours if you are traveling with kids. The zoo also organizes educational programs, team-building events, and thematic events for families with children. In addition, if you want to become a zookeeper for a day, you can participate in their zookeeper experience program.
The zoo has a playground, a petting zoo, and a restaurant where you can get a bite to eat. And with all these things, this is definitely one of the best places in Tabor to visit.

8. Admire the Beauty of the Renaissance Fountain

Although the monastery is one of the underrated attractions in Tabor, I think it’s definitely worth a visit. I liked how calming and serene the atmosphere was here. I was also impressed by its beauty, both inside and out.
11. Relax at Holeckovy Sady Park
During your time in Tabor, you will probably want to take a break from all the sightseeing and relax. And there is no better place to do that than at Holeckovy Sady Park. This is a great little park located just a few minutes from the town square. It’s the perfect place to take a stroll, have a picnic, or just relax in the shade on a hot day.
There were quite a few people relaxing and picnicking in the park when I was there. This made it feel like a very private spot, which I liked. There is also a playground for kids and a few restaurants and cafes located around the park if you need to grab a bite.
During summer, concerts and other events take place in the park, so you can check the events calendar when you go. And being one of the points of interest in Tabor, you’re sure to enjoy your time here.
12. Enjoy Tabor’s Nightlife
Tabor is a small town, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t know how to party. The town has a vibrant nightlife with many bars and clubs to choose from. So if you’re looking for amazing things to do in Tabor at night, then you should check out some of the town’s bars and clubs.
