8. Stinson Beach, Marin County

The next stop on my list of the best beaches in California is La Jolla Beach, a world-famous destination in San Diego. La Jolla, which means “the jewel” in Spanish, is an affluent community with a scenic setting. The oceanfront cliffs provide a dramatic backdrop for the beach below.
La Jolla Beach is one of the best places to go swimming in California because the water is almost always calm and clear. The shoreline here is beautiful, with soft white sand and plenty of room to spread out. 12. Hermosa Beach, Los Angeles
My trip to Hermosa Beach was an opportunity to relax and enjoy the good life. This beach community is located in Los Angeles County, just south of LAX airport. It’s one of the three communities that make up what’s known as the South Bay beach cities.

13. Carmel Beach, Carmel-by-the-Sea
