I recommend booking a tour that includes a stop at El Arco de Cabo San Lucas, as well as some time to relax on one of the nearby beaches. I booked my tour EnvaTours, and it was fantastic! We stopped at El Arco, Lover’s Beach, The Arch Beach and had plenty of time to swim, sunbathe and enjoy the incredible views.

The tour also included round-trip transportation from our hotel, which made things super easy. I would definitely recommend this tour company if you’re looking to visit El Arco and the surrounding areas.

2. Head out on a Fishing Charter

Cabo San Lucas is known for its epic deep-sea fishing and is one of the best places in Mexico for this activity. So, if you’re an avid fisherman (or woman), then this is the place for you.

I’m not a fisherman, but I still enjoyed heading out on a charter and trying my hand at catching something. The boat takes you out into the open ocean, where you’ll have the chance to fish for snapper, mackerel, tuna, and mahi-mahi. I was lucky enough to catch mahi-mahi and had it for dinner that night. It was delicious!

There are many different companies that offer fishing charters in Cabo San Lucas, so you’ll have no problem finding one that suits your needs. I booked my charter through Pisces Sportfishing, and they were great.

3. Take a Whale Watching Cruise

I have always been fascinated by whales and dolphins. So one of the best things to do in Cabo San Lucas for me was to go on a whale watching cruise. The best time to see the whales is from November to April, when they are in their migration period. Therefore, I planned my whale-watching cruise for early February.

There are several whale watching tour companies in Cabo San Lucas, so I did some research to find the best one. I ended up going with a company called Cabo Adventures, which had great reviews on several travel websites.

The cruise lasted for about 3 hours, and we saw several humpback whales, as well as dolphins, sea lions, and a variety of birds. Our captain and guide were very knowledgeable and made the experience even more enjoyable. They shared interesting facts about the whales and other marine life we were seeing.

I had a great time on the whale watching cruise and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Cabo San Lucas. It’s a great way to see some of the amazing wildlife that inhabits the Sea of Cortez.

4. Go Snorkeling at Santa Maria Bay

I planned to go snorkeling on my whale-watching cruise, but unfortunately, the water was too choppy that day. So I decided to make my way over to Santa Maria Bay instead.

This is one of the best places to snorkel in Cabo San Lucas as the water is almost always calm, and there are plenty of fish and marine life to see. The bay is also surrounded by cliffs, which makes for a beautiful setting.

I was accompanied by a friend for this adventure, and we rented our snorkeling gear from a shop called Baja Outfitters. For $15 per person, we got a mask, fins, and a wet suit. You can also rent snorkeling gear from most hotels in Cabo San Lucas for a similar price. Once we had our gear, we took a water taxi from the marina over to Santa Maria Bay for $5 per person. The water taxi dropped us off at a small beach, where we started our snorkeling adventure.

We swam around for about an hour, admiring the beautiful fish and coral. I even saw a couple of sea turtles. I definitely recommend adding this to your list of things to do in Cabo San Lucas if you’re looking for some adventure.

5. Tour the Church of Saint Luke

The Church of Saint Luke is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Cabo San Lucas. This Catholic Church is located in the center of town and is known for its unique architecture and stunning views.

The church was built in the early 1700s and is one of the oldest buildings in Cabo San Lucas. It was originally built as a private chapel for the wealthy families who lived in the area. Today, the church is open to the public and is one of the most popular Cabo San Lucas attractions. Visitors can tour the church, take in the stunning views from the top of the bell tower, and attend mass.

I took a tour of the church with a local guide who showed me around the inside of the church and told me about its history. I was also able to go up to the top of the church tower for some incredible views of Cabo San Lucas.

6. Walk Along Los Cabos Corridor

The Los Cabos Corridor is a 20-mile stretch that is surrounded by desert and the coastline of the Sea of Cortez. This is where you’ll find some of the best beaches in Cabo San Lucas, as well as luxury resorts, restaurants, and bars.

I walked along the corridor from my hotel in Cabo San Lucas to Playa Chileno, which took me about an hour. Along the way, I stopped at a few beaches, including Puerto Los Cabos and Playa El Medano.

I also stopped for drinks at a couple of beach bars and ended up staying for lunch at a restaurant called Mango Deck. This is a great spot to enjoy fresh seafood while watching the waves crash against the rocks.

We took a sunset cruise with a company called Cabo Escape and had a great time. The cost of the cruise was $250 per person, which included unlimited drinks and appetizers.

We boarded the boat at the marina in Cabo San Lucas and set sail for Land’s End. Along the way, we enjoyed the beautiful scenery and stopped for a swim in the Sea of Cortez.

We arrived at Land’s End just in time for sunset, which was absolutely gorgeous. We then cruised back to the marina while enjoying cocktails and watching the stars come out.

The best time to go to El Squid Roe is after midnight, when the party really gets started. The club stays open until the early hours of the morning, so you can dance all night long. There are also plenty of places to sit, and people watch if you need a break from dancing.

El Squid Roe is one of the best places to visit in Cabo San Lucas if you’re looking for a fun night out. Just make sure you have your dancing shoes on.

9. Visit San Jose Del Cabo

San Jose del Cabo is the capital of Los Cabos and is located about 20 miles from Cabo San Lucas. This is a much quieter and more traditional town than its neighbor and is known for its colonial architecture, quaint shops, and art galleries.

We took a taxi from Cabo San Lucas to San Jose del Cabo, which cost us $20 per person. The ride takes about 30 minutes and drops you off at the marina in San Jose del Cabo.

10. Walk Through Marina Cabo San Lucas

One of the best things to do in Cabo San Lucas is to stroll through Marina Cabo San Lucas. This is where you’ll find luxury yachts, high-end shops, and restaurants with outdoor seating that overlooks the water.

I started my walk at the Cabo San Lucas Marina Office and made my way toward Puerto Paraiso Mall. This outdoor mall has over 100 shops and restaurants, making it the perfect place to find souvenirs, grab a bite to eat, or people watch.

After exploring Puerto Paraiso Mall, I continued my walk toward Playa El Medano. This is one of the most popular beaches in Cabo San Lucas and is known for its vibrant atmosphere and water sports.

I ended my walk at Mango Deck, one of the best restaurants in Cabo San Lucas for fresh seafood and beautiful ocean views. This is the perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail or two while watching the sun set over the water.

11. Take an Outback Camel Safari

Yes, you read that right! In Cabo San Lucas, you can take a camel out for a ride through the desert. This was one of the most unique things to do in Cabo San Lucas and an experience I will never forget.

I booked a tour with Camel Safaris Los Cabos, which included round-trip transportation from my hotel, a 30-minute camel ride through the desert, and Mexican lunch.
