I have always been fascinated by whales and dolphins. So one of the best things to do in Cabo San Lucas for me was to go on a whale watching cruise. The best time to see the whales is from November to April, when they are in their migration period. Therefore, I planned my whale-watching cruise for early February.

4. Go Snorkeling At Santa Maria Bay

I planned to go snorkeling on my whale-watching cruise, but unfortunately, the water was too choppy that day. So I decided to make my way over to Santa Maria Bay instead.

This is one of the best places to snorkel in Cabo San Lucas as the water is almost always calm, and there are plenty of fish and marine life to see. The bay is also surrounded by cliffs, which makes for a beautiful setting.

I was accompanied by a friend for this adventure, and we rented our snorkeling gear from a shop called Baja Outfitters. For $15 per person, we got a mask, fins, and a wet suit. You can also rent snorkeling gear from most hotels in Cabo San Lucas for a similar price. Once we had our gear, we took a water taxi from the marina over to Santa Maria Bay for $5 per person. The water taxi dropped us off at a small beach, where we started our snorkeling adventure.

We swam around for about an hour, admiring the beautiful fish and coral. I even saw a couple of sea turtles. I definitely recommend adding this to your list of things to do in Cabo San Lucas if you’re looking for some adventure.
